What Is Bioheat® Fuel?

Bioheat® fuel is made by blending ultra-low sulfur heating oil with renewable biodiesel. It comes in a variety of blends, each identified by the percentage of biodiesel in the blend. For example, B2 Bioheat® fuel has 2% biodiesel, B5 Bioheat® fuel has 5% biodiesel, and so on. The higher the biodiesel content, the fewer emissions the fuel produces. Biodiesel is made from a variety of readily available feedstocks that are waste products or by-products of existing food supply lines, such as soybean oil, inedible corn oil, animal fats, canola oil, and used cooking oil.
